Ebadot Hossain, the pace sensation for Bangladesh, has flown to India with the national T20 squad on October 1, 2024, ahead of their three-match series against India. However, the fast bowler isn’t expected to play in any of the matches. Recovering from an ACL injury he sustained in July 2023 during the Afghanistan ODI series, Ebadot is focusing on continuing his rehabilitation under the supervision of the team’s medical staff.
As per Shahriar Nafees, the cricket operations in-charge for the Bangladesh Cricket Board, the decision was made so that the team’s physio Bayzidul Islam and trainer Nathan Kelly can closely monitor Ebadot’s recovery. This move ensures the medical team and the bowling coach can track his progress firsthand.
Bangladesh’s T20 series is set to take place on October 6 (Gwalior), October 9 (Delhi), and October 12 (Hyderabad). Despite the absence of key players like Shakib Al Hasan, Shoriful Islam and Tanzim Shakib remain confident in the squad’s chances, asserting the team’s potential if they perform as a unit.
